Stolen Moments in June

Some quick stolen moments from this month so far
Can’t wait until we’ve moved and are settled in to our new routine
We get the keys to our apartment on Saturday!
hand holding seashell on beach
buildings covered by fog
blue bokeh stars

flatlay with painting of a bee surrounded by packaging and ribbon
I painted this little bee just over 3 years ago
and someone finally bought it on my Etsy shop
it will be kind of sad to see her go, but she’s going to a beekeeper
so it’s the perfect match

A Warm Weekend Through My Phone

The weekend was warm, busy and a little intense
we found a place to live in Hastings – the first place we saw!
It has beautiful bay windows and original fireplaces,
I’m now dreaming of decorating it with all of our things
and cycling to work on the seafront.
Zissou is going to love the views of the park with all of the moorhens
Four weeks to go!

Hello, March!

Turns out this is a monstera heavy post…

It’s already the 5th of March (!!!) Howww??
This month started off with me going a little stir-crazy cooped up in the house because of the snow. It did make me draw a lot though, so I shouldn’t complain. There’s already another iPhone wallpaper on its way, and I managed to get a regular monthly illustration job, so things are looking up in Megland!

I suppose I have a couple of “goals/things I want to do” for March:
1. Release Paintboxfox’s first zine
2. Get the ear piercings I’ve been thinking about getting for months
3. Start work on my portfolio website

Through the snow and cold, somehow my monstera has produced 4 new leaves from where they were chopped off (due to an accident involving my cat a few months ago). Yay Mildred!

I’ve finished all my drawings for the zine, and am partaking in #marchmeetthemaker on instagram – if you are taking part too, let me know!

And I’ve had my first successful charity shop rummage in a while – green marble coasters. It feels like everything in my life right now is telling me I’m a fan of green…

Daily Photos: Week 3

Can’t believe we are halfway through January already (Also can’t believe I’ve actually kept up with taking a photo a day)!

Some little moments from the past week; sketchbook pages, snoozing cats and getting caught in the snow (and coming home to a hot cup of earl grey)

My Bedside Table

Right now, in this dark grey weather, bed is my happy place. I mean, it kind of usually is, but especially this month. Probably not the healthiest of statements, but we bought a new bed & beside tables recently and I’ve just wanted to spend all of my time in there!
I always think bedside tables are so personal, and give you a tiny insight of the owners personality. Take mine for example – constantly littered with books, notebooks, hand cream, lip balm & jewellery. Whereas Harrys is an oasis of calm – simply a glass of water on a coaster. I don’t know how he does it, but he’s definitely this minimal in general life, too.

Is anyone else’s bedside table as cluttered as their mind?
