When I was little, I used to draw whatever I was packing whenever my family went on holiday together. As I was deciding what to pack for a surprise trip to Paris this Sunday (eep!), I remembered drawing my outfits, and thought it would be fun to recreate one of my little illustrated packing lists:
It was the lowest tide for a while on this evening, so we decided to walk along the beach and watch the sunset. The sky was pink and the rocks gave way to soft sand under our feet and all was quiet.
It’s HOT. I’m no good at dressing for summer. My wardrobe is full of jumpers and layers, but hardly any lightweight clothes. It kind of feels like an enforced capsule wardrobe.
Does anyone else struggle to dress in the summer? Maybe I’m just naturally an autumn person…
I’m posting my outfits every day on instagram @daubdash
Meet Ginkgo – my new Tokyobike!
I was lucky enough to get her through the cycle to work scheme at Bells Bicycles in Hastings Old town. (highly recommend them, they are all so lovely in there!)
I’m so in love that I even made a hashtag for her on instagram #adventureswithginkgo – there is probably going to be far too many bike photos on my instagram account from now on.
Our first week living in Hastings;
Surrounded by boxes, eating vegan donuts, relaxing on the beach & working in the office.
This week all that busyness has caught up with me, and I’m now sitting at home nursing a horrible cold, but through the flurry of balsam tissues, I’m still thrilled to be here.
Some quick stolen moments from this month so far
Can’t wait until we’ve moved and are settled in to our new routine
We get the keys to our apartment on Saturday!
I painted this little bee just over 3 years ago
and someone finally bought it on my Etsy shop
it will be kind of sad to see her go, but she’s going to a beekeeper
so it’s the perfect match
There has been no photo-taking for a little while now
I’ve only had time for quick stolen moments while doing other things
Trying to get back in to the swing of working full time again is difficult!
Hopefully a work/life balance will figure itself out soon…
until then, here’s an outfit that I really enjoyed wearing last weekend
Surrounded by greenery & dappled light
