Sketchbook Pages: 9

Since getting in to using my iPad for all my drawing and painting, I’ve hardly opened a physical sketchbook.

Sounds kind of blasphemous coming from me – up until a year ago I was very much “make everything with real pencils and paint and paper alwaaaayss!”. It’s just so easy to pick up my iPad, sit on the sofa and draw. I don’t have to wait for the light to be right, I don’t have to make a mess getting all my pencils and pens and paint out – its eeeasy.

Don’t get me wrong, I do believe it has caused me to create some bad habits, and I have an itch to paint something on a big piece of wood or canvas at the moment, but for the last little while, these have been my “sketchbook” pages:
